Light & Wonder Inc., a casino equipment and online game provider, said it will supply system solutions and slot and electronic table games to Inspire Entertainment Resort, a South Korean casino complex.

Located in Incheon, near the Korean capital of Seoul, the plan will have foreigner-only casinos. It is being developed by the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, an American tribal casino operator.

"We have been selected to provide Inspire with a portfolio of system solutions," Light & Wonder said in a press release on Monday. The agreement also includes the installation of Light & Wonder slots at the resort and the "full complement" of electronic table games, the release added.

The announcement made no mention of the value of the deal, nor did it disclose details about the products that will be placed on Inspire.

The press release quoted gaming chief Siobhan Lane as saying the deal with Mohegan offered "a tremendous opportunity for Light and Wonder in the Asian market."

The report also quoted Mohegan's chief operating officer, Jody Madigan, as saying that "integrating Light & Wonder's advanced solutions into Incheon properties is "essential to the success" of real estate operations.

Inspire's non-gaming operations will open in the fourth quarter of 2023, after which games will take place, management confirmed earlier this month.

The first phase of the initiative was previously described by Mohegan as a $1.6 billion venture. The property will be a "multi-stage" project, located on 660 acres (242.8 hectares), according to an earnings call released alongside the group's first-quarter results.

This includes three hotel towers in a total of 1,200 hotel rooms, 15,000-seat arena and convention spaces, dining, shopping and entertainment facilities, 24/7 indoor water parks, and outdoor family parks, as well as foreign-only casinos.

Light & Wonder reported revenue of $670 million in the first quarter of 2023, up 17.1% from a year ago. The increase was "driven by growth in all of our businesses, including SciPlay and iGaming's other record revenue quarters," the company said in a release last week.
